What do you think it is like at the edge of the Earth?
Deepspace was made from Australian choreographer James Batchelor’s experience on a two-month expedition at sea studying Sub-Antarctic volcanoes. He was invited to be part of a group of 60 scientists and artists researching one of the most isolated places on our planet. In this performance you will experience the vastness of the ocean and the movement of the icy waves through the performer’s subtle shifts in weight and the immersive soundscape. You can walk around the performers and choose your own pathway through the show. This journey will shift your attention from the very large to the very small, ultimately drifting far away to the deep unknowns of outer space.
