A new generation of creators. One challenge. A day and a half.
During Jonge Harten Festival, Likeminds Factory (Amsterdam) and Noordstaat (Groningen) are joining forces for the first time. Under the artistic direction of Robbie Wallin, young creators and artists will create a completely new performance in just 36 hours.
The 36 Hour Project is an encounter between the North and the Randstad, between theatre, music, spoken word and performance. It is a laboratory full of energy, where self-taught creators – who do not necessarily come from an art background – experiment, exchange ideas and push their boundaries together.
What can you expect?
A raw, new performance by a group of young creators who bring their vision to life in record time. Don’t expect a traditional theatre play, but a mix of disciplines: from performances in unexpected places to pop concert vibes, from theatrical dramaturgy to improvisation. A performance that only exists once – and then disappears again.
About Likeminds Factory
Likeminds Factory is a programme for young, self-taught creators from all disciplines: music, dance, film, spoken word, theatre and hybrid crossovers. Eight selected participants work together for a year, attend workshops given by professionals and create performances, including a solo performance. Factory offers creators the opportunity to develop their skills and find their own path in the art world.
About Noordstaat
Noordstaat is the place to be for upcoming hip-hop artists in the northern Netherlands. Here, creators can grow and accelerate their talent, receive coaching and facilities, and connect with venues and festivals. Noordstaat is both a community for artists and a partner for programmers and educational projects.
