Seven actors and a babysitter.
In BERG, we follow seven young idealists and an extra child who climb a mountain together to make a statement. They want to show the world that change is possible. They brave the elements, the thin air and their own fears to achieve something great. But when they reach the summit, disaster strikes. The weather changes. They get stuck. Cut off from the outside world. No audience, no cameras, no Wi-Fi, no likes. Just them, together with the biting wind, the snow, the hunger, the silence of the mountains. And their convictions. And that one fucking song in their heads. High on a hill was a lonely goatherd, layee odl, layee odl layee-oo.
BERG is a compelling coming-of-age performance about idealism, doubt and dreams and the search for meaning in a world where everything seems to have to be visible in order to have value.
With seven performers from Meeuw Jonge Theatermakers and an extra child.
