RISE UP

Some things can only be understood when you feel them and share them with others. Not from the sidelines, but by participating in the lion’s den. That is exactly what the ARENA is for: to step into it and voice your perspective or listen to the perspectives of others.

Rise up: The ARENA on activism. Do you dare to speak out on issues that are close to your heart? On a large scale during national protests or during a birthday party against a family member? What do you need to speak freely and stand up for your ideals?

Come and join us! Speak up, contribute your ideas or listen attentively! Entering the ARENA takes courage, because we can’t be sure of anything, but we can all explore and investigate.

The ARENA – Rise up is inspired by the performance “For Rosa” by Felix Maesschalck & Nik Balthazar.

FIELD was created to strengthen the bond with young talent and to give both the artists and the festival the opportunity to support people in the longer term and to make their “dreams” come true. We focus in particular on students who we feel (after conversations and performances) connect themselves as creators with the world beyond. In a conscious, critical and idiosyncratic way.

Kom je er toch nog niet helemaal uit? Geen nood: stuur een mailtje naar info@jongeharten.nl en vraag om nadere toelichting. Vermeld de titel van de voorstelling en waar je graag meer duidelijkheid over wilt hebben (is dit iets om met mijn vriend/vriendin naartoe te gaan? het is misschien wel grappig maar toch niet vulgair? dat soort vragen). De programmeurs van het festival geven je dan persoonlijk het verlossende antwoord!
