Just sitting, with nothing to do.
ZITTEN is about meditating in the most sober, egoless form. During this theatre experiment, De Graef reaches for his most beloved language: that of silence and introspection. Join him on a 90-minute adventure in which language and silence merge.
Peter De Graef takes you along on his reflex to turn inward and then actually dive into silence with his audience. Peter knows better than anyone that “sitting” or “meditating” is the most adventurous journey you can undertake. The inner self is a rebellious vessel full of surprises. The inner self also requires care.
Peter: ‘Those who take the time to sit every day maintain their inner self. It is as normal and necessary as brushing your teeth. If we don’t do it, our inner self becomes dirty, we feel confused and our world becomes cloudy. But just like brushing your teeth, the daily habit is important. It takes trial and error, patience and kindness.’
On ZITTEN you find more information about just sitting around.
