Breaking norms
“Dream Big” follows a creature living inside intrusive dreams and tangled family dynamics. Swollen eyes, yellowed teeth, distorted bodies, and grotesque masks make self-criticism and inner tension visible, forcing the audience to confront the unwanted, the taboo and what ‘s unsettling.

About the creator
Anaida Melivia (Cyprus, 2003) works with forms that feel familiar but not quite perceivable. She’s interested in what is being suppressed—things we don’t say, emotions that surface in dreams, moments that blur the line between morality and immorality. Her practice often involves intuitively hand crafting creatures that suggest something human, yet resist being fully understood. These beings, along with theatrical elements, musical ceramics, and narrative, are presented together through performance, to expose intrusiveness. She looks for ways to accept what is silenced through guilt, by giving to it presence and letting it independently exist. Her aim is to create a space where others can stay and connect with their shame—with what is unresolved
