An Ode to the In-Between
What happens in the space between beginning and end?
Interval takes you on a sensory journey through time. Choreographer Joop Oonk’s new performance is the third part of her trilogy on primary dynamics. Following Tides and Falling, Interval explores time as a living, breathing landscape of repetition, shift, and change.
As a visitor, you enter a dark space. Slowly, your eyes, your ears, and your body adjust. From the darkness, a universe unfolds in which movement, sound, and scenography merge. Dancers move through an environment where objects come to life upon touch, and every action adds a new layer to what you see and feel.
*Interval* is about the “in-between”: the period in which we live, move, adapt, and let go. It is a physical experience of transience and growth, of continually rewriting ourselves in relation to the world around us. This performance invites you to see differently, to feel differently. Not to understand time, but to experience it.
Step in. Slow down. Experience the space in between.
