A CHOIR FOR KILLJOYS    

Club Gewalt is celebrating its 10-year-anniversary. Ten years of love, art, rock & roll and marching down protest marches. Time for a party! Or a mid-term review? How rock & roll are you if you point out and condemn the (political) danger outside yourself, without scrutinizing your own sins as individuals and collectively? On closer examination, the supposed polyphony really leaves something to be desired. So get to work: redefine the harmony, listen to the individual voices in the choir and let’s become better people.

A civilized circle birthday turns into a steaming arena in which alternative forms of conflict are fought out. A killjoy of a performance that all but keeps the peace. Because peace is for political pussies and harmony for tone-deaf fascists. Party of the decade: FOMO guaranteed.

FIELD was created to strengthen the bond with young talent and to give both the artists and the festival the opportunity to support people in the longer term and to make their “dreams” come true. We focus in particular on students who we feel (after conversations and performances) connect themselves as creators with the world beyond. In a conscious, critical and idiosyncratic way.
