Meet the methods of De Dansers

This agile band of dancers and musicians have developed an entirely unique working method and signature and love to share their practice. The master class will be given by choreographer/dancer and artistic leader of De Dansers: Josephine van Rheenen. During the master class you will work on the floor around partnering and creating theatrical material from exercises. Of course there is also room for exchange and getting to know other (young) makers.

This master class is suitable for young makers and theater/dance teachers with an affinity for dance and physical theater.

De Dansers wants to inspire physicality and personal connection, especially in a society where we live more and more on screens. We do this by simply connecting and energizing, in everything we do. De Dansers particularly believes in the value of dance at a young age. That’s when your body is full of movement, crying out to run, jump, touch. That’s when the imagination in your brain needs to run wild. What you miss as a child you can’t make up for later. We make work that appeals to the zest for life of children and that reawakens in adults forgotten desires for surrender and physicality.
