Cripta

A theatrical reading of an autobiographical text about a young woman with a Jamaican mother and a Dutch ‘nerd’ father. She returns to her childhood home to learn about their special relationship.

About track 2 of De Schrijversstudio
In this track, three talents who have already taken some steps in the theatre field receive guidance in their further development as stage writers and in writing a 60-minute play. In addition to the individual programmes, they will discuss each other’s work with the other participants and their mentors and reflect on the theatrical readings of their texts, which will take place here at Bellevue, but also at the Jonge Harten Festival (2025) and Festival Cement (2026).

We focus in particular on students who we feel (after conversations and performances) connect themselves as creators with the world beyond. In a conscious, critical and idiosyncratic way.
