Cross-disciplinary master class by moON productions Theater, Dance and Singing.
Would you like to broaden your creative horizons and explore your interest in theater, song and dance? Then we would like to invite you to participate in our unique cross-disciplinary master class on November 20 and 21! We would like to introduce you to the moON way of working in which we break down the barriers between the different stage disciplines and work from the commonality instead of the differences. We no longer talk about the actor or the dancer or the singer…but rather the cross-disciplinary performer.
This master class offers a dynamic and engaging experience for anyone interested in the world of the performing arts.
By whom
In this master class you will be guided by director/playwright (ArtEZ/HKU) Hendrik Aerts, dancer/choreographer Manuel Paolini and singer/performer/vocal teacher (ArtEZ) Sterre Konijn.
Hendrik Aerts.
‘My goal is not to turn a singer into a dancer or an actor into a musician. I believe in the power of the different crafts and therefore work with a choreographer and a vocal coach/musician, among others. What I do want is for the traditional crafts to influence each other. True Gesamtkunst needs time, space and investment. It is also an examination of the role and importance of cross-disciplinary performers in this day and age. As moON, we believe in that importance and in discipline-breaking collaborations.
Manuel Paolini
“My goal is to guide performers in exploring the different, unique ways they can express themselves with their bodies. I believe that dancing is a way to get to know ourselves, without judgment and fear.’
Sterre Rabbit
‘With her interest in music, language and theater, Sterre Konijn has built a versatile concert practice. She composes, improvises, arranges, translates and enjoys working with artists from a variety of disciplines and genres.’
