Practice the possible
Jonge Harten 2026 has a new mindset: Practice the possible. An invitation to make space for what is possible, and to find gentleness in simply giving things a try. No matter how small, uncertain, or uncomfortable that first step feels. Your ideas, doubts, and experiments are precisely what make a difference, creating momentum and renewed hope. Together, we are creating a world where you are allowed to practice, stumble, and reinvent yourself time and time again.
Flip the script
Honestly? The world can sometimes feel like one massive wave of choice overload. Everywhere you look, people are telling you who you should become, how you should act, and what the ‘perfect version of yourself’ looks like on your feed. Meanwhile, the world’s big problems feel so overwhelming that they paralyze you. As if your voice or your actions don’t matter anyway. After all, where do you even start when everything feels so huge? We say: flip the script. Nobody expects you to save the world on your own. But what if we stop staring at everything that isn’t possible, and start looking at what is possible? Right now, today, in your own world.
See it as a practice
At Jonge Harten, we view the world as one giant rehearsal space. A place without fixed boundaries or imposed rules, because what isn’t there yet, you can invent and create yourself. The only secret is that everything you do is a practice. You don’t have to know exactly who you are yet, your choices aren’t set in stone for eternity, and you certainly don’t have to get it right on the first try. In a society where a mistake instantly feels like a failing grade, we create space to try things out freely. To make ugly things, to fail miserably, to make adjustments, and to get back up again. Because the idea that everything has to be perfect right away is an illusion.
Nobody climbs a mountain in a single leap; you always start with that very first step. Take a good look around you: what do you already have an influence on right now? Your friends, your school, your own mind, or the vibe in the city? That is your playground. And the beautiful thing is, you don’t have to take those steps alone. Theater is the exact place where we discover, clash, laugh, and experiment together.
Just start!
Practice the Possible is an invitation to just start. Get moving, do something, fail, make adjustments, and try again. Step out of your comfort zone and ask yourself: what would you dare to try today if you knew you were allowed to fail relentlessly? Take up space and practice along with us. What is your first step?
